Boosted by the acquisition of the adjacent plot, the Sumcay Camping Centre has put into action an expansion plan to supplement the existing facilities. The masterplan for the Centre, a popular excursion destination for nearby schools, was overseen from the macro-scale through to the micro-scale. To date this expansion has produced new sleeping units, a kitchen, a dining hall, a pool and various outdoor activity areas. The key to the masterplan is flexibility, allowing for one large group to inhabit the entire facility or for many smaller groups to operate simultaneously and autonomously.
