The design of this dwelling aimed to enhance the unique opportunities inherent in the site. The topography of the landscape inspired the articulation of the house into smaller functional masses which appear to have grown out of the earth. These units are interconnected via a circulation axis and encirle the outdoor living area, allowing North light and the scenery to penetrate all the rooms while sheltering the pool and patio from the elements.
