A commission from the Department of Public Works called for structures to be erected quickly and economically to fulfil the requirements of the Imbasa School in Motherwell. To overcome the challenges of the brief the CAVCON building method- a form of prefabricated assembly making use of vibracrete panels- was implemented in the school's construction.
